“Kafka on the Shore” is one of my favorite books. However, I’d probably want to read up on him a little more before meeting him.

For those of you who have read “Kafka”, I imagine my meeting with Haruki Murakami to take place in the library from the novel :)

Amy Sedaris is pretty much the rule of cool. ‘Nuff said.

I adored Garden State – it’s easily in my top 5 movies. What’s more, I absolutely adore Mr. Braff’s taste in music. In my experience, that’s been a very good indicator of whether I’d get along with someone. (Okay, I suppose millions of others loved the “Garden State” soundtrack, but moving right along…) He’s incredibly brilliant and comes across as kind and down to earth, the kind of person I’d want to talk with for hours.

Long story short, I think we’d be a good match ;)

A couple days ago, a friend of mine told me that he wrote to Chuck Palahniuk and said that Chuck not only wrote him back, but sent him a necklace that he made as well as a “power bear” (Chuck likes to re-gift.) I said I’d believe it when I saw it, and went to his apartment.

The necklace has Chuck’s name and my friend’s full name on it in letter beads (not to mention gemstones picked to help him with the specific New Year’s resolutions he wrote to Chuck about) so it’s not re-gifted. So obviously, not only can the man write a twisted, brilliant story, but he’s pretty cool in real life, too.
